Day two of our backpack commenced frosty and misty, but we soon emerged from the clinging fog in to the brilliant blue skies above. the snow patches that remained were bullet proof neve, but we managed to slither our way upwards. My pack with winter gear for the two of us and lots of food was very, very heavy making for a bit of a haul. We passed one person on Glas Bheinn Mor who later met alison and reported that he had seen a small boy and a man with a huge rucksack. It must have made an incongruous sight. We finally arrived at the camping place half an hour after dark when the temperature plunged. I had to hug the gas cylinder for half an hour before we could commence cooking such was the cold.
