13.8 miles, 1650m ascent, 9 hours 30 mins
At last the weather finally deteriorated to more normal conditions of mist, rain and a bit of wind. We had fun on the bouncy bridge and I enjoyed the long rough ridge between Meall Bhuidhe and Beinn Bhuidhe. the descent of deep heather, tussock grass and rocks was less enjoyable as was the midge fest in the valley. On arrival at Inverie there was no respite from the pesky midges, so jouneys between the kitchen and the bedroom became frantic dashes to escape being devoured.
