Meall Greigh - Meall Garbh

9.5 miles, 1100m ascent, 7 hours

Tempted by a slight easing in the storm force winds of previous days, we set our sights on the Ben Lawers group.  The wind may have lessened but it still ripped across the tops driving spindrift in its wake.  This was Ben's first exposure to such conditions and I considered descending from the first Munro after struggling to hold on to Ben on the top and being  knocked to the ground more than once. However, conditions eased a bit and I rightly calculated that the route to the second peak would benefit from a little shelter if we took a devious route.  still, the summit was fierce and this was a full-on, very snowy, high -windchill blast.  I wouldn't want to have pushed it any further with Ben.
